After years of working as a professional actress, it’s been highly rewarding to pass along all I’ve learned to the next generation and see them grow toward their full potential as actors and human beings.
Though I have a keen eye for talent (I pitched HBO’s True Detective actress Erin Moriarty to her first agent after spotting her in community theater), I know that not all of my students will choose to pursue a career in the performing arts. So, it’s enriching to know that the skills I teach will help them in a variety of platforms throughout their lives.
What I do goes far beyond how to inhabit a character. I show my students how to command a room, feel confident and conquer those pesky nerves, and actually enjoy the audition. In addition to teaching private audition, acting, and performance skills, I have been the Drama Director for the Riverdale Children's Theater Summer Program since 2010.
